To live for and from His presence
Vision can be insight gained by human wisdom & planning, or it can be foresight born of prophetic revelation. Over the years we have sought both. In 2010 however, our sense is that we are to build primarily on the basis of prophetic revelation & less on predetermined plans. So we position ourselves through listening intimacy to engage with the unfolding plan God has for us while being mindful of the core revelations already gained over previous years. Revelations such as:
That we are a people who live for & from His presence
We build our community within, while ensuring we go out beyond our four walls to reach others
Expressing love that has real "depth, teeth & legs" both inside & outside the Church
Listening to God & pioneering in new understanding & expressions of the kingdom
Living a lifestyle of releasing Heaven on Earth
Accepting every opportunity we can to bless & to give
Both valuing & expressing all five ministry foundations within the Church body-
That is: apostolic, prophetic, pastoral, teaching and evangelistic based gifts & ministries
As a result, we invest in our people, equipping them to fulfill their destiny. We place a high value on a dynamic relationship with God and each other. We encourage personal transformation so that our character is refined allowing each of us to sacrificially invest in loving one another which brings the unity and therefore community that should be the unique distinctive of the church.We are committed to being so attractive that the world is fascinated by our cohesion and intrigued by our power. We do not ask anyone to serve one person's vision but rather that through the development of each person's dream and call we all fulfill our potential, individually and corporately. We live to enjoy his presence, reach the lost and be about his business - at the very least, preaching the Good News, healing the sick, casting out demons, raising the dead and setting the captives free!
